USPA NEWS - During the Brooklyn Atlantic Festival, our Iron Leaf Press Team was treated like family by several of the 8 vintage base ball teams. On Saturday, Atlantic team member Vinny “Tuna“ Aurora invited us to hear his band play to raise funds for Long Island Crisis Center. Here's our donation, we're there!
Many of the Vintage Base Ball Clubs support local and national charities that touch their hearts. This past Saturday, May 1st, our Iron Leaf Press Team was fortunate enough to be invited to join the Brooklyn Atlantic team members and other fellow ball club players from the 7 visiting teams to support one of their own member´s charity fundraising events. A musical evening ensued featuring the band, "Acoustic Overlook". Brooklyn Atlantic BBC´s very own Vinny “Tuna“ Aurora was manning the conga drums on stage at The Nutty Irishman in downtown Farmingdale, NY. The house rocked to the tunes this band put out; fans swayed and sung along while reminiscing to their favorite old songs.
This Mugstock fundraiser was a huge success. All donations benefited the Long Island Crisis Center-It´s OK to ask for help. This organization is Long Island´s first 24/7 Crisis Intervention Hotline. The Long Island Crisis Center´s (LLC) mission is to provide 24 hour, seven day a week crisis hotline and online counseling on a wide range of issues including suicide prevention, anxiety & depression, runaway youth & homelessness, child abuse, self injury, eating disorders, domestic violence, cyber bullying, as well as providing counseling & support around substance abuse & mental health issues, etc.

Good food, tasty drinks, fantastic music and an energetic crowd all contributed to the triumphant outcome of the evening. With over 500 people attending donations exceeded $5,000 for this charity. It was definitely an evening to remember.
